Family Guy Vol. 7

Sun Jun 28, 2009, 8:10 PM
Hi guys! It took me awhile, but I've managed to figure out how to post an additional journal sides' the first one that I have no recollection of how I did the first time. I'm also trying to figure out how to "link" up with all you cool deviants out there, but alas I have no idea how. I'll take this as my next big project for the week and figure it out. Any help or advice from ya folks are most welcome.

Anyways, wanted to let you guys know that the next vol. DVD is out for Family Guy. Volume 7. It includes an episode I was an assistant director on, called "Long John Peter". It has a pretty cool pirate battle with a British dude, and a frog scene that's really crazy. It was the episode I was involved with after the Star Wars, "Blue Harvest" episode and just before entering again into the Mr. Lucas' world of "Empire Strikes Back" last year. Hard to believe all this stuff was over a year ago. Sigh. Time flies.

It also includes the animatic for that episode along with other really cool ones from other episodes, and a tour of the studio, so you guys can see what the inner workings of the studio looks like, e.g. the kitchen. ;) If some of you guys are really looking out for it, you can see a concept sketch I did for Empire pinned up in a wall of one of the rooms during the tour!

If you guys get a chance to see it, let me know what you think of it! I would love to hear comments!

Take care!

-Joseph

Hello the 2 people checking out the site! My name is Joseph Lee, I'm a director on a television show called Family Guy. Besides animation, I have a deep love of the comic book arts and illustration and thought that this forum might be a cool way to show some of my work besides what you see on screen. I've just signed on and have begun slowly putting some stuff up. Thanks for checking out the site and come by often! And comments are always appreciated! I'll be posting sketches and paintings as often as I can!

Best,

Joseph Lee
